Novotel Phuket Karon Beach Resort & Spa - Family & Business trip hotel - PHUKET STREET ART

Take a colorful and inspiring journey when walking along the stunning Phuket Street Art around Phuket Old town. Get inspired by masterpieces from talented Thai and International Artists. The project behind Phuket Street Art started after UNESCO announced Phuket as the ‘City of Gastronomy’. Different artists took part in Phuket Street Art project and displayed their creativity on the various buildings and walls of Phuket Town. The different creations reflect the rich culture and lifestyle of Phuket’s residents. This attraction is becoming more and more popular every single day and keeps on attracting local and international visitors.

Many people wondered if the graffiti art would go well with antique buildings. The combination of modern street art with old buildings resulting from Phuket Street Art erased all the doubts. Phuket Street Art is not only a way to showcase the talents of local and international artists, but also a way to develop tourism in Phuket Town.

Start your Phuket Street Art treasure trip with ‘Mardi’, Alex Face’s masterpiece. The bunny character wearing Baba traditional clothes is located just in front of Phuket Downtown market. From there, you can walk from one art installation to another. For people passing by Dibuk Road, “Eye candy” features various sweets and candies lining along a building. After this feast for the eyes, time to meet with ‘Mardi’ again wearing an ‘Ang Ku’ costume this time.  Traditionally ‘Ang Ku’ is a red turtle cake used as an offering during Phuket Por Tor Festival. Phang Nga Street also hides many paintings on the walls of the different buildings. One of the most incredible masterpieces is located on the yellow building of a famous noodle shop. The lively street painting from ‘Muebon’ is telling the story of the Sea Turtle Festival. The art masterpiece stretches on two buildings.

Phuket Street Art is perfect for a one-day trip in town. While enjoying the art, take the opportunity to taste local food and discover the tranquil Phuket lifestyle. Plan your journey and make sure you don’t miss any of the paintings.

Phuket Street Art is located around Phuket old town, only 40 minutes away from Novotel Phuket Karon Beach Resort and Spa.
